If you want to get paid to write online, but you don’t like pitching magazines and websites, why not start your own blog? While we did enjoy freelance writing for a living, running this travel blog is much more lucrative than our freelance job ever was and we work half as much. We can teach you How To Start a Travel Blog, plus you’ll get our Beginner Blogger Video Course and our Beginner Blogger Ebook ($119 Value) for free.
Schedule a Consultation Well, in my case, it’s taken a decade! And I’ve been fortunate enough to have other work that I do, including IT consultancy and web design, to help me through the lean times. Those lean times still appear on occasion, but I have enough avenues for additional work that I usually feel about as secure as I imagine anyone does in this day and age.

Get Paid For Writing Online

To start making money today, stick with our list of the best paid survey sites. An excellent online travel magazine headed by a good friend of ours, Tim Leffel, Perceptive Travel has won many awards and has one my vote as the best submission guidelines page of any website on this list. They’re looking for well-written travel pieces and not cliché magazine type titles. They want around 6 images included with each submission, but Tim claims to be “light-handed” on the editing. Tim is also one of the longest running veterans when it comes to travel writing, so he knows what it’s like when you’re trying to get paid to write online and he can likely help you out.
Hey Ruth! Share on Pinterest Secondly, don’t shy away from sites that pay with gift cards as opposed to cash. I have the most success with some top survey sites that pay me exclusively with gift cards. I use these much the same as cash, and most sites offer a good range of gift cards so you can find one suitable for you.

This is a great article! I never knew so many sites can pay you just for your writing, I will try my luck in some of them! Thanks!
That’s awesome! Freelance writing is a great option to eran a side income 🙂 Good luck! 1KBlog
Firstly, don’t rely on a single site. There are loads of legitimate online survey sites for Australian’s. Many international survey sites now also operate in Australia giving us even more opportunity, but even the best paid survey sites probably wont offer you enough surveys alone. By signing up to multiple sites, you can be sure you’ll receive more offers.
You’ll also be allowed a bio and link to your website in your article. You earn points (called “Shells”) for each survey. 10 Shells equal to about $1. And yes, you can also earn for referring friends and family.
July 24, 2017 at 3:39 pm best regards Hi Victoria, by Dave Roos Crystal Watts I just discovered your blog and want to say how right on you are about the above. I’ve reached a dead end with freelance writing and after reading some of your posts, I have learned some of the reasons why, like not having an online presence for example! You’re also absolutely right about bidding sites (which was in another post). I’ve tried them before and they weren’t helpful. Anywho, I wanted to ask about #10. It seems like a great tip! But am wondering how open the web design companies are to providing writers with a list of people in need of web content? I definitely want to try this out.

Watch out for requests for payment. You should never be the one paying the site. You will never be asked for money to join a legitimate site – they should be the ones paying you.
